1.
Conditions of enrolment
Minimum 18 years of
age
Valid Passport
For the “au pair” status, students must obtain an agreement
of placement from the family who will employ them. Families can be found
either by one’s own means or through specialised agencies.
2.
Insurance
Students are advised to take out supplementary insurance to cover the
duration of their stay in France.
3.
Certificates of pre-enrolment and definitive enrolment / " au pair
" Status
Enrolling on an au pair programme
gives you the right to a certificate of pre-enrolment of 10 hours
per week. This document is required by students from countries
outside the European Union and who wish to apply for a visa or a work
placement. For further information on requirements to be met, we advise
you to contact the relevant authorities (French Consulate,
the Department of Work and Employment, Immigration Authorities, au pair agencies)
All students who are not au pairs must be enrolled
on a minimum of a 20-hour course in order to qualify for student status
once in France (see our intensive courses programme).
4.
Payment and confirmed enrolment

After
enrolling, the student will be invited to take a test ofevaluation
as soon as they arrive in France. As the places are limited, we invite you to come and see us for your definitive enrollment as soon as you arrive in France.
Our au pair lessons run throughout
the academic year. Students can sign up for one term
(1 academic year = 3 terms) or for one semester (1 academic
year = 2 semesters). A one-off 40-euro enrolment charge will be made +
a charge of between 20 and 25 euros for books. The 100 euro deposit paid
at the time of pre-enrolment will be deducted from the total amount due.
Balance
must be paid within the first two months following the start date. If
the student needs a definitive enrolment certificate
in order to obtain his/her residence permit from the immigration authorities,
he must pay at least 300 euros.
For
specialised courses (Tourism and Hotel Industry, Business French) and DELF/DALF preparation courses,
extra costs will be involved for the examinations and books.
5.
Deferment of dates
If the student is unable to start his/her courses at the date scheduled,
he/she must inform the Institut Parisien in writing in the shortest possible
time. Only in that event, and for the year in progress, shall he/she have
the benefit of a deferment of dates.
6.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation before the beginning of the course (due to no availability after September 16th or refusal of visa), the amount reimbursed
will correspond to the deposit paid less a 40-euro cancellation charge. No refund after the beginning of the course.
7.
Certificate of Study
The student must attend the courses with regularity. No certificate of
study will be delivered in the event that the student did not regularly
attend the courses.
8.
School holiday periods
No courses will be conducted during the academic holidays

From Friday 19/12/2008 to Monday 05/01/2009
From Friday 13/02/2009 to Monday 02/03/2009
From Friday 10/04/2009 to Monday 27/04/2009
9.
Public holidays
No courses will be conducted during the school vacation
