Established in 1988, the Institut Parisien de Langue et de Civilisation Françaises is a private institute of higher education.
We are a professional language training organisation and a member of the professional body of French language training centres called fle.fr.
Whether for pleasure, studies or professional needs, our students are motivated and demand the same high standards as we do. The Institut Parisien concentrates all its efforts and means on creating the ideal atmosphere for learning and practising French ensuring an excellent progression. Students make the choice of learning French in an ideal atmosphere which will enable them to make progress in the best conditions. We specialise exclusively in the teaching of French as a foreign language. Our priority is offering our students high quality teaching worthy of the effort they themselves contribute.
Since the creation of the Institut Parisien, our sole vocation has been the teaching of French.
Our teaching methods are structured, intensive and adapted. French is ever evolving and plays an important role on the international stage. Thanks to two full-time teaching coordinators our teaching materials are constantly kept up-to date and our language trainers have access to an extensive range of resources. In order to encourage learning French and becoming part of the French way of life we also put the emphasis on the necessity for students to get to know Paris, French culture and the French themselves as a real complement to their training. Our own in-house on-line magazine keeps you informed of events happening in Paris and contains practical addresses while keeping you up-to-date with the latest on the French language.
Our courses are suitable for all nationalities. Whatever your origins and your motivation there is one common point: learning and practising French in a multicultural context. The whole wide world meets at the Institut Parisien! It goes from the Japanese student with their love of France to the American senior citizen who comes back every winter to devote himself to his love of French. We have Austrian high-school pupils who spend summer brushing up on their French before starting university and Peruvian French teachers keen to improve their knowledge of the language. We help wives of expats to feel more at home in France as well as catering for Brazilian lawyers or Danish businessmen who enrol as part of a professional training course.
Our teachers are all university graduates in the teaching of French as a foreign language. Two other criteria are also important to us:
